Walsh Messenger Service Radio For A Cure

Garden City Park, NY – Walsh Messenger Service has teamed up with KJOY as the presenter of the sixth annual “Radio For A Cure” campaign to heighten awareness of breast cancer on Long Island. The campaign features a number of original radio vignettes that will run over 1500 times on five Barnstable Radio Stations: KJOY, WKJY, WBZO, WMJC and WHLI.

Local legislators including Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi and U.S. Representative Carolyn McCarthy - along with breast cancer activists, actors and figures in the media - have lent their voices to these vignettes, which remind Long Island men and women that early detection through self-examination saves lives.

Joe Brantuk, co-owner of Walsh Messenger Service, said, “We’re proud to be a part of such an important cause and are glad that we can deliver this important message to over 500,000 listeners.”
